During last year's festival we conducted a survey among the exhibitors to find out how best to improve the facility and we have made several improvements this year which proves that we are listening to our clients, says chairperson of the festival conveners, Achmat Jacobs.

Among others, festival goers can expect the noise level to be lower in the exhibition marquee. Last year, the Tea Garden - which is as popular for its confectionary as for the live entertainment was located directly adjacent to the exhibition marquee. While this was good for the crowd flow, it did create a great deal of noise, which the conveners are hoping to avoid this year.

With 34 days to go before the festival, the conveners have expressed satisfaction with the progress they have been making since winning the right to bring the VOC Summer Festival back one last time to Greenpoint Stadium. With the doors due to open on Monday 30 October for the sale of stalls at the festival which takes place from 1 to 3 December, the marketing team is getting ready to launch the next phase selling space in the Warehouse Tent.
